Momochi: Sometimes he was drawn as pretty as a girl (especially the one on the DC version cover) and his voices sounded innocent and cool. And he was "an ordinary boy" according to a magazine. What happened to him after PPF?
Ako_Nut6: Uh...Why did you two find him cute in PPF, but not in any other games, because I'm not really getting anything, because besides an outfit change and the art style change, I always saw him as...well, my previous post says it all? (Ps: Now that you mentioned it, he does look kinda girly: It doesn't help that he was voiced by a female seiyuu)
Kaabisteru: Ako Nut: Maybe cuz the character developement until today in PP7 made him the annoying smartass like he's now? It's like how Porky/Pokey from Earthbound developed up into an annoying villain from start of the game. (Why I'm referring to EB so commonly now...)
In PPF 15 Ann. I was dumbfounded by the fact he looked MORE EVIL than last time I saw him in PPF. And seeing him act like it... (-0_o-)

In my opinion, cuz many ppl started from PPF and since it was most cutest and simplest of the games (not having much of gimmicks like today), I think it's why we think they were first "cute"?
Ako_Nut6: Kaabisteru: You know, I always got the feeling that the reason Klug didn't seem as much of a smartass in PPF as he is in the other games was because the cutscenes in the first FEVER game were pretty brief, what with some characters having more characterization than others at first. So, me judging Klug in those cutscenes, I've assumed that he was always a jerk since day one, it's just that he didn't get enough screen time for us to see more of his personalilty.
Momochi: Ako_Nut6: Personally, I met PPF at game arcade, so my first impression was made by his chain sprites - he smiled at you through nonreflecting glasses, shouting something with sweet voice - hence this fangirl from that moment. The other Klugs except Chibi have none of these features. As for the personality, now he always acts as if he were with Raffine or had just performed his best attack. I know he has all the time been intended to be a typical annoying genius, but he did have a soft side.
Ako_Nut6: ...Well, maybe you do got a point there. I mean, looking back at the first FEVER game, it seemed that he only wanted to find the cane first to get his prize and he and Amitie seemed to get along like friends (well, you know what I mean), and the only time he'd ever acted like a jerk was towards Raffine, who neither of them liked eachother in the first place. By the second game, however, he'd seemed to have became more of an self-centered asshole.
...I think it's kinda ironic, considering that he didn't like Raffine, the ORIGINAL jerkoff (and she'd didn't like him back), but now he'd seem to became more like her in terms of being a jerk, and the chibi version of him only proves my point.
(...About the artstyle, I think it's kinda grown on me, and I think that because of that drawing style, it makes the characters more "cutesy").
