Sonic Team is a subsidiary of Sega established in 1990. Initially but also still known as Sega AM8, it is a developer of many games for children and adolescents. These games include Puyo Puyo Fever and its sequels, as well as Minna de Puyo Puyo and various Sonic the Hedgehog games.
