Arle Nadja

Arle Nadja is a young girl with magical powers. Her birthday is July 22nd. Being the protagonist in Madou Monogatari, she is also the protagonist of the early Puyo Puyo games. In the Modau games, she is as young as five, but in the Puyo games, she is around 16. She attacks with elemental magic such as Fire, Ice Storm, and Thunder, but also knows some other magic such as Diacute and her signature Bayoen. Despite her design changing through out the series, Arle states that she wears the same clothes 365 days a year. Her favorite color is blue.

Ever since she met Carbuncle in Modau Monogitari, they have been the best of friends, and when he isn't off on his own adventure, he is with Arle. Despite Carbuncle going off on his own, in Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary, Arle states that she'd be devestated if Carbuncle ever went away.

Being the protagonist, she has her fair share of rivals and love interests. For Example, Satan is in love with Arle, and wants to have a date under the starry night sky. Because of Satan's love for Arle, and not Rulue, Rulue calls herself Arle's rival. Witch considers her self a better magic user then Arle, forming another Rival. Draco is also Arle's rival, for competitive reasons, like beauty contests. Schezo Wegey could be a mix between a rival and a love interest, as he desires Arle's power (or more then that).

Starting with Puyo Puyo Fever, Arle is no longer the protagonist, but instead a girl who warped to Zig-Zag Peak with magic that sent her "way off the map". In the fever games, Amitie tries to help Arle return to her world, with crazy ideas that would never work.

In Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary, Arle changes her mind about wishing to go back, and instead, wishes for a way to warp in between worlds.

She also teaches Andou Ringo how to play Puyo in Puyo Puyo 7. However, she is also possessed by Ekoro for the bulk of the story, turning her into the creepy Dark Arle. In the final battle, she, Amitie and Ringo all triple team on Ekoro and defeat him.

Arle is also the first character with an asymmetrical design. She is also one of the only asymmetrical characters not to receive a second set of art for her opposite side in Puyo Puyo 7, though this is due to the asymmetry being on her clothing rather than being a physical feature.
